Greco Ready if Incognito Can't Play

Rams rookie offensive lineman John Greco talked Wednesday on if he is comfortable playing guard as well as tackle, on if he thinks he will be playing with Richie Incognito's injury, and on which position he sees himself playing long-term.

(On if he is comfortable playing guard as well as tackle)
"I think so. I've been playing guard here a majority of the time now, but you still have to learn tackle and the more you know the better. If I can play both positions, it will help me."

(On what injury ailed him last week)
"Last week I banged up my knee a little bit. With the MRI, everything came out fine, it was just a little sore. I came out here today and tried to see what I could do and it was okay."

(On if he thinks he will be playing with G Richie Incognito's injury)
"Who knows? If I get that opportunity, I'll just take advantage, like I've been saying. You have to expect the unexpected so guys can get banged up at any time and you have to be ready."

(On if he thinks he is ready)
"I'm ready. I've been practicing all year for an opportunity so I'm ready."

(On if he is excited about having the opportunity to play)
"I'm excited. I played in a couple of games early on in the season, saw limited time. It could happen to anyone and it could happen at any time, I just have to be ready."

(On which position he sees himself playing long-term)
"Long-term, guard or tackle. I think I could play both. Right now the target is guard so that is what I've been concentrating on and working on, but you still have to be able to do everything, so I've been trying to add tools to my toolbox." Recommended Stories
