Started in Green Bay’s first five games at "Elephant" (right) defensive end in 2002 before suffering a season-ending torn left triceps in the second half of a win over the Chicago Bears in Champaign, Ill. on Oct. 7. ... He had appeared in 37 straight regular season games before suffering the injury. ... Signed a six-year, $33 million contract with the Packers on March 26, 2002 after eight seasons with the New Orleans Saints. ... Finished 2002 season with 2 sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and one pass defensed. ... Had 50 1/2 sacks in his first eight NFL seasons (fifth all-time in Saints history), including 21 in 2000 and 2001 .

College
Was a three-year starter and letter winner (1991-93) at Louisville, forgoing his final year of eligibility to enter the NFL draft. Finished career with 138 tackles, including 25 sacks and 16 for loss, plus 8 forced fumbles.
