Entering his fifth straight season as a starter at left cornerback. ... Had 15 passes defensed, tops among Green Bay’s defensive backs, despite missing three games in October with a groin injury. ... Finished with 2 interceptions and was sixth on team in tackles with 64. ... In 2001, finished seventh on the team with 70 tackles, 2 interceptions and a career-high 21 passes defensed (one off of the team lead). ... All-rookie selection in 1999. ... Signed a five-year, $17 million contract extension ($3.5 million signing bonus) through the 2006 season on Jan. 7, 2002.
College
Three-year letter winner (1996-98) for the University of Memphis, where
he started the final two-and-a-half years. Redshirted in 1995. A
first-team All-Conference USA selection as a sophomore and junior, played in
32 straight games for the Tigers, with 26 consecutive starts. Finished
career with 206 tackles, including 151 solo and 8 for loss, with 6
interceptions and 20 passes defensed.
