Expected to start in place of departed CB Tyrone Williams (Atlanta). ... Has
appeared in 80 games overall with 21 starts. He has not missed one game over
his five-year NFL career and carries an 80-game playing streak into the
upcoming season. ... Played behind Troy Vincent and Bobby Taylor on a
secondary that was third in NFL in takeaways in 2002. ... His existing
contract runs through the next two seasons. His base salaries are $1.05
million for 2003 and $1.15 million for 2004.
College
Transferred to Texas A&M-Kingsville from Trinity Valley Junior College
(Texas). In two seasons with the Javelinas, he had nine INTs and 14 passes
defensed. Had five INTs as a senior. In his two JUCO seasons, he had 121
tackles and 8 INTs and was a teammate of NFL WR Albert Connell. |
