| Biography: |
| Biography Gary Baxter started out as a CB at Baylor, then moved to safety for a couple of games, was drafted by the Ravens to be their free safety of the future, and is now back to being a corner. Maybe this is where Baxter should stay. With his 6'2 frame and long wingspan, Baxter has the physical attributes to cover bigger receivers. He also has the catch-up speed to cover receivers deep. Still, to get the most out of Baxter's abilities, the Ravens will need to let him play as much bump and run coverage as possible. The biggest weakness in Baxter's game is his inability to backpedal smoothly while playing off of the opposing receiver.
Contract Details: Baxter is signed through 2004. He will earn a salary of $389,000 in 2003 and $455,000 in 2004.
