| Born Christopher Todd Massey in Charleston, W.Va.…four-year letter winner in football at East Bank High in Chesapeake W.Va.…during senior season recorded 167 tackles and rushed for 1,017 yards and 19 touchdowns…three-time all-conference pick, two-time all-county and twice all-state…three-time all-conference selection in baseball and was all-state in 1996…member of national honor society…won Kanawha County Sheriff's Scholarship Award…criminal justice major…enjoys weight lifting, trout fishing and deer hunting in spare time.
Served as long snapper for four years at Marshall…also played linebacker in college.
Senior: Played in every game as Thundering Herd's long snapper and played linebacker, recording 19 tackles…named Special Teams Player of the Week for performance against Youngstown State. Junior: Played in 11 games…credited with five tackles…named teams' Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance against Ohio. Sophomore: Handled long snapping duties…named District II GTE Academic all-America. Recorded six special teams tackles. Freshman: Had one tackle during the season and was long snapper. |
