Born Kimani Masai Herring in Detroit, Mi…Superprep and USA Today all-America first-team selection at running back and safety at Solon High in Solon, Oh…two-time all-conference and all-district Most Valuable Player…career totals include 3,743 rushing yards, 417 yards receiving, and 52 touchdowns…all-state first-team pick as senior after rushing for 1,255 yards and 19 touchdowns on 152 carries…also caught eight passes for 296 yards and recorded 63 tackles with three interceptions…all-State honorable mention each of his three seasons on track team…doesn’t eat red meat or drink soda…claims goal is to appear on “Oprah Winfrey Show”…supports the United Way, and has donated his time to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Florida…participated in 1999 Race for the Cure in Washington D.C. to help fund breast cancer research…married during offseason to Marissa…resides in St. Louis.
