Most of the criticism aimed at Mike Martz for the opening game loss in Denver has been directed at his clock management, or lack thereof, something that has been hung on the Rams aggressive head coach for three years. While it was really easy for Rams supporters to get hot under the collar as the clock wound down so quickly Sunday, the fact is that even two timeouts would not have gotten the ball back in the end, not after the Broncos got a first down on the last possession.
