Since 2001, the Rams have been rebuilding a defense that Mike Martz admitted was “old” after a disappointing 2000 season, using all five first rounders to add talent to that side of the ball. St. Louis didn’t quit after the first round either, adding linebackers Tommy Polley and Pisa Tinoisamoa, and cornerback Travis Fisher, all starters, in round two.
