Monday, 25 November
Yesterday, the Saint Louis Rams' playoff hopes were readmitted into the NFL hospital after taking a serious beating in Washington. These are the same playoffs hopes that had recently made a full recovery after a near-death experience on October 6th in San Francisco. Many "experts" have declared the hopes as "dead" but is it not prematurely? Did 0-5 teach you nothing?

After getting whooped around by San Francisco 13 to 37 (Oct 6th), the Rams were near-death. Analysts around the NFL brought bad news, "No 0-5 team has ever made the playoffs." Like a doctor bearing the worst news, the Rams Nation was in shock and were trying to cope with the loss of their loved ones. But instead of heading "toward the light," the Saint Louis Rams returned from the dead.

After 5 losses, whatever ailed the Rams went into remission. Before their setback Sunday, the Rams had fully recovered as they evened their record at 5-5. Now, at 5-6, the Grim Reaper has been spotted again near Rams Park in Earth City, Missouri.

So at 5-6, can we really declare the season over and the Rams dead? Heck no! Sorry Grim Reaper but it's not our time yet. Yes, the Rams still have life! Why? Well, Sunday took other victims on the football field.

Rams Got Help Sunday
Sunday's loss against Washington was bad. However, while Atlanta's wild card hopes (7-3-1) were strengthened with Michael Vick running up 41 points in Carolina, teams leading the Rams in the wildcard race fell short as well:
- New Orleans lost to Cleveland 24-15 and dropped to 7-4
- New York lost to Houston and dropped to 6-5

So what's the chart say? Rams are still alive.

Ram on,
Don
