Right now in Indianapolis, they are holding out for promise. In Cincinnati, they are hoping for 8 wins. In Green Bay, they are still talking about Super Bowl XXXI. In Dallas, they are wondering if 5 and 11 is their fate for the 4th straight year. But in Saint Louis, things are different!

In Saint Louis, we are expecting the return of Kurt. We expect Superman in his #28 jersey to lead the Rams to the promised land. I'm imagining the joy on Aeneas's face when he gets an up-and-close look at the Super Bowl trophy. Yes, my friends, it's a good time to be a Saint Louis Rams fan!

With this core, we probably won't see another 1999 Cinderella Story. No sir, we are faithful and ready for another run. Super Bowl XXXVI has left a bitter taste in our mouths but we believe.

When I say "we believe", I'm not talking about some far-fetched opportunity like they might be in Cleveland or Houston. No sir! I'm talking about a bona-fide opportunity. I'm talking about the pieces being in place with proven winners. Yes, there has been change and turnover but this is no different than what you see on any other NFL club.

Many fans are angry, disappointed, and maybe even fearful of a drop-off in 2003. Me, I'm ready for the playoff run. As the Rams and Bucaneers face off in tonight's pre-season battle, I'm looking to see a rising champion. I'm looking to see 2003 be the year of the Ram.

Ram on,
Don
