EARTH CITY, Mo. — The St. Louis Rams' evening practice on Tuesday didn't have the fireworks of the morning session, but there was still some news coming out of Rams Park.

Rookie defensive end George Selvie has a strained muscle in his lower leg and was out of the Rams' second practice today. He is considered day-to-day.

Defensive tackle Gary Gibson, who was involved in two skirmishes Tuesday morning, was "rested" for the second practice, according to coach Steve Spagnuolo.

New safety Brett Johnson was on the practice field for Tuesday's second practice after being signed earlier in the day.

Johnson suffered a strained hamstring in Philadelphia that led to him being waived with an injury settlement after just five practices. He is wearing No. 26.

Rookie tight end Fendi Onobun had a spectacular leaping catch at the back corner of the end zone, and hung onto the ball as he hit the ground. The pass was from Sam Bradford.
