St. Louis Rams Head Coach Steve Spagnuolo announced today that Andre Curtis is joining the Rams’ defensive coaching staff and that Bruce Warwick has been appointed Assistant to the Head Coach/Football Operations.

“We are pleased to announce two more additions to our staff,” said Spagnuolo.  “Andre was with me in New York and, along with the other defensive coaches with the Giants, he was a vital part of our defensive staff.  We feel very fortunate to have both on board.”

Curtis was defensive quality control coach for the Giants from 2006-08.  He coached defensive ends at Georgia Southern in 2004-05 and played and coached at Virginia Military Institute, returning to the school after graduating in 2000.

Curtis was an all-Southern Conference linebacker at VMI and started 31 consecutive games and made 354 career tackles from 1996-99.  He coached linebackers from 2000-03.

Warwick has 18 years’ experience in professional and collegiate football administration, including six years (2000-05) with the Green Bay Packers as Assistant to the General Manager/Director of Football Administration. During this period the Packers won three consecutive NFC Central titles and earned four playoff berths. He also held an executive position with the NFL Europe League in 2000.

After graduating from Columbia College in Syracuse, N.Y., Bruce began his career at Syracuse University in 1991.  Warwick also worked at Maryland (1992-93), Clemson (1994-95), Duke (2006) and Tennessee (2007-08).

Warner was director of football operations for Syracuse from 1996-99. The Orangemen, behind quarterback Donavan McNabb, appeared in four consecutive bowl games and posted a 33-16 record.

Others appointed to Spagnuolo’s staff include:  Pat Shurmur, offensive coordinator; Ken Flajole, defensive coordinator; Dick Curl, Assistant Head Coach/Quarterbacks; Charlie Baggett, wide receivers; Paul Ferraro (defense), and Frank Leonard (offense).
