“I try to keep my head into whatever it is I am doing. I knew I was going to get picked up somewhere, maybe not with Tampa (Bay), but I feel like I can play here and I was just waiting on the opportunity.”
(On what he knew about St. Louis before he got here)
“Not too much. I heard the head coach got fired but that was it. As far as from that, that is all I pretty much knew.”
(On if he keeps tabs on what else is going on around the NFL as far as other tight ends)
“Not too much, I am more about keeping my head in the game. That is all I can do.”
(On when he received the call to come to the St. Louis Rams)
“It came Tuesday afternoon.”
(On when he arrived in St. Louis)
“I got here yesterday.”
(On if he got some vacation time before coming to St. Louis)
“I was actually out there still practicing with Tampa (Bay) because I was not released until yesterday.”
(On if he can play special teams)
“I can. So far nobody has really used me that way but I am ready to fit in wherever I can.”
