(Opening Remarks)
“There’s really no changes other than, we had one guy that bumped his knee yesterday, but it’s alright, it was tight, it was James Hall. There should be no problems we just held him out so he did very little if anything and we just did that as a decision today, but should be good to go on Sunday.”
(On if he expects T Adam Goldberg to play left guard on Sunday)
“Right now, yeah. (G) Jacob (Bell) felt better yesterday, to what extent, whether he’s going to be up or not is still in question. Goldberg took a lot of the reps there, so I feel like for sure he’ll get the start at left guard, but whether Jacob’s available or not, we haven’t decided.”
(On if T Adam Goldberg is having any problems adjusting to his new role at guard)
“Not really. That’s his role even on gamedays to play swing guard and tackle and that’s his value. We’re lucky to have him and he had a really good week.”
(On how P Donnie Jones is recovering)
“He’s good; he bruised his knee. He punted today, quite a bit and felt fine. Because of the swelling, we didn’t want to have it to be an issue as the week went on, so we just played it conservative and he punted fine today so he’s good to go.”
(On if P Donnie Jones is working on his tackling form)
“No, hopefully he’s not making any tackles.”
(On how WR Eddie Kennison is doing)
“Eddie is fine. It’s been awhile, it’s been a year since he’s been out there. I think the biggest thing for him is has a good cover level with our system, it’s just a matter of how much, right now, he factors in because of what we’re planning on doing with the rotation, but he certainly adds some veteran depth that we needed with (WR) Drew (Bennett) being out.”
(On how WR Donnie Avery is looking)
“I think it looks good. I think he had two real good days and I thought Wednesday wasn’t bad. We’ll make that decision on Sunday.”
(On how the comfort level is playing at home this week)
“It’s good to be home and I think we’ll have a really good crowd. It couldn’t be a better opponent to go against in the home opener than the world champions and we’re going to find out what we’re made of.”
(On if he finds inspiration in the Giants story last year of starting out 0-2)
“We’re looking for our own story. You can look at a lot of those and hats off to them for what they were able to do, but they did it, we haven’t done it yet. Our inspiration has to come from within.”
