Cowboys & Redskins, Rams Thankful
By Rams Nation's Don Ackerman
Happy Thanksgiving Rams and Rams Fans!
Today, the Dallas Cowboys & Washington Redskins gave the Rams and their fans
another reason to be thankful. First, we should be thankful that after starting
the season with 5 losses, the Rams are still alive and the most dangerous team
in the NFL. This sure does beat the "spoiler" role we served in before
1999!
Second, thank you Dallas Cowboys for beating the Washington Redskins. In the
wild-card race, the Redskins used to be in front of Saint Louis. If the Rams
can win, they will be behind the Rams in the post-season hunt. It's a long season
and small favors like the one Dallas provided today are much appreciated!
It must have been hard for Rams fans to root for Dallas to win. The Cowboys
are one of Saint Louis' rivals and for most Rams fans, there's no love for Dallas.
To make things even stranger, the Cowboys beat the Rams on Sunday, September
29th 13 to 10. That loss could be the difference maker in the Saint Louis Rams'
2002 campaign. But today, the Cowboys were our friends.
So Rams fans, be thankful. With 1 opponent knocked down, we can only hope for
the Seahawks to knock off San Francisco, Tampa to beat New Orleans, and Tennessee
to beat New York at home. That's not too much to ask, is it?
Happy Holidays & Ram on!
