Defensive Tackle Claude Wroten will be unavailable for the Rams for the season.

STATEMENT BY AN NFL SPOKESPERSON:

Defensive Tackle Claude Wroten of the St. Louis Rams has been suspended without pay for a minimum of one year for violating the NFL Substance Abuse Policy.

Wroten is eligible to be reinstated no sooner than May 30, 2009.
