Rams Close Out Year

The Rams closed out their season with a 48-19 loss to the Cardinals.

The Rams lost to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday 48-19 and accomplished a number of things, most of them negative.

The Rams 3-13 regular season record was the worst in St. Louis Rams history, and their worst franchise record since 1991 when the team was still playing in Los Angeles.

The 29-point deficit was the largest the Rams endured all season. On the offensive side, the team scored only 263 points this season, the lowest total for the franchise in 15 seasons. Meanwhile on the defensive side, the team gave up 438 points, which are the second-highest total points allowed in franchise history.

With a three win season, the Rams have locked up the number two selection in the 2008 NFL draft. With the number of holes on the team apparently large, it will be interesting to see in what direction the Rams go when it comes draft time. Scott Linehan will address the media on Wednesday to put a wraps on a disappointing 2007 season.
