Rams Refuse To Lose (Pick Up Tackle)
by Rams Nation's Don Ackerman
The Saint Louis Rams refuse to lose. They will do anything to get back to the
Super Bowl and become the most dominate team in a decade. Monday, after seeing
a weakness on the offensive line exposed, the Rams trade "an undisclosed
draft choice" for Grant Williams, an offensive tackle from the New England
Patriots.
So what does this mean? It means Kurt Warner can get some sleep once Mike Martz
calls him with the good news. I'm sure he's had a little trouble after facing
defenders in the first two games of the pre-season. So Kurt, sleep tight. Grant
Williams has started 35 games in the NFL and has played in another 50. It's
another piece in the Super Bowl puzzle the Rams are putting together.
What this also means that John St. Clair will be given more time to develop.
You gotta love the depth this club has in the era of free agency and teams that
are one hit away from a draft pick.
Factor this in with all the other pickups with off-season (Terrence Wilkins
- wide receiver/punt returner, Jamie Duncan - linebacker, Mitch Berger - punter),
you can see the Rams refuse to lose and will not settle for anything but winning
it all.
I applaud the moves and am thankful the Rams are truly committed to winning
it all!
Ram on,
Don
