It has been a frustrating offseason for Rams guard Claude Terrell. Now, it appears Terrell could be shut down for the entire 2005 season
after he said more surgery on his wrist is necessary. Terrell
underwent surgery early in the off-season, but was unable to lift weights or
participate in most team activities because of persistent pain. Since the start
of training camp, Terrell has done very little because of the
problem. Disappointed his agent, Joshua Luchs, wasn't doing
enough to handle the situation, Terrell recently fired Luchs and hired Kennard
McGuire, who also represents Rams tackle Orlando Pace. Terrell told Andy
Strickland of 1380 ESPN Radio that his wrist isn't right and that an additional
surgery will occur and cause him to miss the entire season. It
is likely that Terrell would be placed on injured reserve, with the hope that
the wrist will heal this time and enable him to play in 2007. Terrell started 10
games at left guard as a rookie for the Rams in 2005.
