Voices
of the ClanRam: Rams13
Interviewed
by ClanRam Writer - - - Brandon “Blankman” Cavanaugh
It’s time
to get stoked, it’s time to get salivating for the onslaught of ‘ball
that’s about to be crammed into our fun-filled time of the year once more.
The fine folks at Clan Ram know that it can be a rough period right about
now, between the Roving Rams and H.B., you get all the news that’s actually
out there, so we’re gonna start kicking these interviews into high gear.
Today, I take on Rams13.
Blankman:
What's your real first name?
Rams13:
Jerry
Blankman: Where and when were you born?
Jerry:
Oceanside, California. 1978
Blankman: Where do you currently reside?
Jerry:
Phoenix, Arizona
Blankman: Do you have any other immediate family?
Jerry:
No.
Blankman: When and why did you become a Rams fan?
Jerry:
I'm a newer fan. Officially became a fan before
the 2001 season. I was a Packers fans for many years. Well,
I simply felt drawn to the Rams. Not because of the winning but
because of what the team stands for. I didn't feel I truly hand-picked
the Packers as my favorite team, and although I enjoyed being a fan of
theirs very much and there were some great years in the 90's I felt a
closeness to the Rams organization. Growing up in Southern California
the Rams used to play just up Interstate 5, and going forward I think
their story in 1999 captured a lot of hearts. It was truly God calling
me to follow the Rams.
Blankman: What originally brought you to Clan Ram?
Jerry:
I came across Clan Ram through a search
engine. Once I arrived I never looked back.
Blankman: Who is your all-time favorite Rams defensive player?
Jerry:
Grant Wistrom.
Blankman:
Amen, brother
Blankman: Uniforms: Home or away?
Jerry:
Away.
Blankman: What's your most cherished piece of Rams memorabilia?
Jerry:
Although I don't own this I think the Kurt Warner
Wheaties Box is a great collectible.
Blankman: Do you have any Ram jerseys? What Name/Number?
Jerry:
I currently only own one jersey and
that is a Kurt Warner #13 jersey. I do hope to have more as time
goes by.
Blankman: Do you have any favorite sports besides American football?
Jerry:
Baseball is my favorite sport of all,
and then I also enjoy Hockey and Basketball.
Blankman: Kick or Receive?
Jerry: Receive.
Blankman: Who is your most hated NFL team?
Jerry: Very
tough one but if I had to choose I would go with the Baltimore Ravens.
Blankman: Marshall Faulk or Eric Dickerson?
Jerry:
Marshall Faulk.
Blankman: What would you do to improve Clan Ram?
Jerry:
While I understand things need to improve and grow
I would definitely keep many of the Old School features around. When
I first joined Clan Ram in the summer of 2001 the designs were great and
I think some of those need to return.
Blankman: What do you see for the Rams in 10 years?
Jerry:
I think they are a changed organization for good. They went through
some rough times in the 90's but I think the move to St. Louis along with
a whole new design makes them truly a team that will always be out to
win. They will have bad years again sure just like every team but
I think in 10 years the Rams will be going into a season with just as
much of a chance to win it all as everyone else.
Good words,
Jerry. I’d like to thank him as well as the folks at Clan Ram and Yahoo!
Sports once more for posting the interviews and I look forward to the
slew of new ones coming down the pike, as I hope you all do as well.
Until next time…
