“The St. Louis Rams’ organization, along with the NFL, does not condone under any circumstances drinking and driving. The incident involving Leonard Little will be resolved through the legal system. Leonard Little will enter a not guilty plea in response to the allegation.

Accordingly, the St Louis Rams and the National Football League believe Leonard, as every other American citizen, is innocent until proven guilty. Consequently, Leonard will continue to participate in his role as a member of this football team. The Rams’ organization and the NFL will reserve any potential action until a resolution of this issue is achieved through the legal system.

I know this is a very emotional time for all of us. The portrayal of Leonard as being insensitive and unremorseful has not been my observation, or that of our coaches and players. I would refer any further questions concerning this incident to his lawyer, Scott Rosenblum.”
