A “Little” Patience goes a long way
By Rams Nation's Dez S Urban

As I sat and watched the Leonard Little story break from the comfort of my computer chair, all I could think was, what a stupid stupid man.
Then, within 1 minute of the story breaking, I watched the email lists and message boards erupt with a furry that took my breath away.

Lets get the facts right before we go any further.

Here is what was released by the police.

Ladue police arrested Leonard Little Saturday on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.

Little, 29, was stopped for speeding at 3:57 a.m. Saturday on westbound Highway 40 near the Lindbergh Boulevard overpass.

In a one-paragraph news release, Ladue police said Little was taken to the Ladue police station, booked on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and speeding and issued traffic summonses for those charges.

Police then released Little from custody. The case will be handled by the Ladue Municipal Court.

Ladue police declined to say how fast Little's car was traveling or give any more specifics about the incident.

Little was unavailable for comment. His attorney, Scott Rosenblum, said Little's initial court appearance will be on June 9.

Now as I said, I was shocked to read this. My first thoughts? Wow, I wonder what the full facts will be.

Now I have to say that, man, am I glad we live in this age and not 50 years ago. I can just see hordes of fanatics, rampaging through the streets with fire torches and rope, looking for Leonard Little’s home, so that they can knock down his door, and string him up in front of his family. Before the facts come to light.

If, after all the facts come out and Little is proved to be what was stated, then, you know what, I don’t want the guy playing on my Rams and I personally will do everything in my power as boss of the Rams Nation to make sure that my voice is heard by the Rams.

But until the facts come out, I will act like a civilized human being.
