St. Louis Rams linebacker Jo-Lonn Dunbar was arrested early Sunday following an altercation outside a South Beach nightclub, according to CBS Miami.

Dunbar, 29, has been one of the Rams' starting outside linebackers for most of the past two seasons after spending his first four years with the New Orleans Saints.

The Rams re-signed Dunbar this offseason to a two-year deal worth a reported $2.01 million to man one of the linebacker spots along with James Laurinaitis and Alec Ogletree.

The veteran linebacker was arrested for battery and disorderly conduct, according to CBS Miami, following an altercation outside the Dream Nightclub. Donte Green, an NBA free agent, was also arrested.

Dunbar missed the first four games of the 2013 season due to a violation of the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing drugs. He was released by the Rams but then signed during the season. He then appeared in 12 games and started 10 of them. He finished with 39 tackles.

The linebacker started all 16 games during his first season with the Rams in 2012. He was one of the team's top defensive players during that season, finishing with 115 tackles, 4.5 sacks and two interceptions.
