Wide receiver Danario Alexander worked extensively in a receiver rotation with the first unit in Thursday’s practice. Alexander also participated in special teams work.
While the coaches haven’t committed to Alexander being active, offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur had this to say when asked how difficult it is to project how Alexander will do after rehabbing the entire offseason and not joining the team until Aug. 23: “We’re beyond projecting. We’ve got NFL players on this team and we’re going to play an NFL game Sunday and they’re going to go in there and play.”
Changes from Wednesday’s injury report: LB David Vobora (limited Wednesday, did not practice Thursday); TE Billy Bajema (knee), OG Jacob Bell (concussion) and CBs Ron Bartell (calf) and Kevin Dockery (hamstring) all participated fully Thursday after being limited on Wednesday. RB Kenneth Darby (shoulder) and DT Darell Scott (ankle) were limited. TE Michael Hoomanawanui and CB Justin King both fully participated.
Kicker Josh Brown is involved in a scene in “Jackass 3,” which opens in theatres today.
